About Cruising

What is Cruising?

Writing drawn from transsexuality and boat-dwelling. You can expect some news about my work and opinions about trans politics, as well as essays and stories from the queer web of cruising, gender, marshes, masculinity and rivers. This is an experiment with an intention to grow, away from the formulaic structures of journalism.

Who am I?

I’m Ludovic Parsons, a queer British journalist. I’ve been reporting for national and independent media for 12 years; worked for the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, PinkNews and The Pool; and write freelance for outlets including British Vogue, Cosmopolitan, the Evening Standard, GQ and the Guardian.

I’ve investigated citizenship stripping, Frontex, political party funding, global antimicrobial resistance, and the CIA’s covert drone wars and secret prisons. But mostly I report on LGBTQ+ politics here in the UK.

I am the lead investigative journalist at not-for-profit publisher QueerAF, and I work on community-driven projects about trans healthcare, preventable deaths and the British anti-trans movement. I'm available to commission or hire.
